Bita Goodman
A Strategic and Relentless Advocate
Bita Goodman is the founder of Goodman Sullivan Law Group, Inc. and an experienced California litigator known for her strategic approach, meticulous preparation, skilled negotiation, and unwavering commitment to her clients.
For more than two decades, Bita has represented individuals, business owners, property owners, landlords, tenants, employers, and employees in significant and often highly contested legal disputes.
Experience. Strategy. Preparation.
Admitted to practice law in California in 2005, Bita has spent more than 20 years advocating for clients whose property, businesses, careers, finances, and reputations may be at stake.
Bita graduated with honors from UCLA before earning her Juris Doctor from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles. During law school, she received an award for the highest achievement in her negotiations course, reflecting an aptitude for strategic negotiation that continues to shape her approach to resolving disputes. She also gained valuable insight into the judicial process through an internship with a California Superior Court judge.
Bita is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Central District of California, in addition to all California state courts.
She is also a licensed California real estate broker, giving her an additional understanding of the financial, transactional, and practical realities underlying many property and business disputes.
Her combined legal and real estate experience allows her to evaluate these matters not only from the perspective of a litigator, but also with an understanding of the real-world interests often driving the dispute.
Prepared to Negotiate. Prepared to Litigate.
Bita understands that effective advocacy is not simply about being aggressive. It is about being prepared.
Every case begins with a careful assessment of the facts, the evidence, the client’s objectives, and the opposition’s likely strategy. From there, Bita works to identify the pressure points that matter, develop leverage, and position the client as strongly as possible—whether the matter ultimately ends through negotiation, mediation, dispositive motion, settlement, or trial.
Her experience representing parties on different sides of disputes gives her the ability to evaluate a case from more than one perspective. She understands that anticipating the opposition can be just as important as developing your own arguments.
That perspective informs the way she prepares, negotiates, and litigates.
Direct. Involved. Client-Focused.
Clients often come to Bita during some of the most consequential and stressful moments of their lives. She understands the responsibility that comes with being entrusted with a client’s case.
Her approach is direct, responsive, and deeply involved. She believes clients should understand their options, know the risks, and have an attorney who is prepared to stand behind the strategy being pursued.
Bita also understands that no two disputes—and no two clients—are the same. She takes the time to understand what is truly at stake and develops a strategy around the client’s objectives rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach.
Know the facts. Know the law. Anticipate the opposition. Prepare for trial. Fight for the client.

Experience That Provides a Strategic Advantage
Bita has represented clients on different sides of complex disputes, giving her the ability to evaluate matters from multiple perspectives.
Her experience allows her to anticipate how the opposing side may approach a case, identify potential weaknesses, recognize leverage, and prepare for the arguments likely to come next.
Bita believes successful litigation begins long before entering a courtroom. It begins with understanding the facts, mastering the evidence, knowing the law, identifying leverage, anticipating the opposition’s strategy, and building the case from the outset with the expectation that it may ultimately be tried.
She does not believe in taking the easiest path simply to resolve a case. Her focus is on determining the strategy that best protects her client’s interests and pursuing it with conviction.
When a matter can be resolved efficiently and on favorable terms, Bita works strategically toward that result. When the opposing side refuses to be reasonable, she is prepared to litigate aggressively and take the case as far as necessary to protect her client.
Prepared to Protect What Matters Most
At Goodman Sullivan Law Group, litigation is not about making the most noise.
It is about being the most prepared person in the room.
Bita believes effective advocacy requires more than knowing the law. It requires preparation, judgment, persistence, strategic discipline, and the willingness to take a case as far as necessary to protect a client’s interests.
When the stakes are high, Bita is prepared to fight for what matters.
